Our annual Fall Ballet production will be “The Nutcracker” to be presented this December. Tickets go on sale in November.

Students in Kindy, Beginning Children’s Dance (BCD), Intermediate Children’s Dance (ICD), and Advance Children’s Dance (ACD) who wish to perform are automatically placed in a dance part but will need to be registered by September 21st (see front desk). We strongly believe that our studio is set apart from others by offering this opportunity in our curriculum. With many more performances to experience, it provides the students with an insight to the world of ballet and gives them the history of the “Ballet”.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 14th: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to audition time to warm up. Female dancers wear black leotard and pink tights.

Summer Ballet Class Requirements:

Mini/JR, Apprentice: 6 ballet classes (Intensive counts for 4)
Novice, Premier: 12 ballet classes (Intensive counts for 6)
Intermediate, Advanced, Elite: 16 ballet classes (Intensive counts for 8)

Rehearsals will be held at the studio on Saturdays, starting Sept 21st through November 23rd and attendance is VERY important. Run-throughs where we run the show from beginning to end at the studio will be November 30th for ACD – Elite, and December 7th for everyone including Kindy - ICD. The Elite roles of Sugar Plum and Clara require a major time commitment. Please do not miss more than 2 rehearsals.

Dates: September 28th - December 7, 2024. No rehearsals November 30th due to Thanksgiving weekend.

Rehearsals will be Saturday’s between 1:15 and 2:45 for a half hour within that time frame depending upon placement.

Need extra practice for your recital dances? We will be offering practice videos for purchase of Preschool through BCD for In the Jungle. We are offering MP4 and video streaming. These videos have proved to be very useful in the past to help the younger kids remember their dances.

Come join the fun and sign up for the Father/Daughter dance this year. The first rehearsal will be Saturday, March 30th, 1:45-3:45, as there are no other rehearsals going on at that time. Times will be adjusted to 3:45-5:45 starting Saturday, April 13th through the end of May.

Please come 15-20 minutes early for your audition to get your number and warm-up. Ladies should wear a black or dark leotard and pink or white tights for ballet auditions and can add black leggings or black jazz shorts for other auditions. Please audition for all possible parts for your level, regardless of your preference.

Join us during the week of Oct 24 – 31 Halloween celebrations. We will not hold evening classes on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Students in all combo classes up to ACD can wear their costumes (as long as they can dance in them) during this week and will learn a dance during class. These students can also bring a small treat for their classmates to share. Parents are invited to attend the last 15 minutes of class to watch. If your child misses class during this week, they can schedule a make-up class. Have a safe and fantastic Halloween!

Rehearsal schedule will be Saturday’s between 12:45 and 2:30 for one half hour depending upon placement.

Dates: October 2, - December 4, 2021 No Rehearsals November 27th due to Thanksgiving weekend.

Ballet Level Evaluations for our level dancers will be on Saturday, June 5th at the studio in Room A. This is to help the teachers better determine which level your dancer will be entering next year. Evaluation time based on the level you are currently in.

2:45 - 3:45 PM: Premier/Intermediate
4:00 - 5:00 PM: Advanced A/B Group 1
5:15 - 6:15 PM: Advanced A/B Group 2

For the Advanced A/B Groups, you will be receiving an email letting you know which time slot your dancer will be in. The reason we are dividing the Adv group is to lower the number of bodies inside the room.

Saddle Rock Fall Schedule

This year we will be doing a 6 week Summer Schedule. Registration will be open on Wednesday, June 24. Registration will only be accepted online on our website or through the Parent Portal. Payment must be made online. When you register, you will be charged for 4 weeks upfront. At the end of the 6 weeks, we will then charge your account for any additional classes that have been taken. We have decided to have students PreSchool through ACD remain on Zoom classes through the summer. Teachers are planning to teach these students a dance this summer that will be performed either on Zoom or in the studio in their recital costumes. We are planning to bring them into the studio for classes this fall if circumstances will allow it. All dancers Apprentice through Elite will be dancing in the studio and on Zoom for this 6 week summer session.

Please look at our website for our Covid 19 Phased opening. We will be moving into Phase 3 this summer. We will strictly follow the rules for health, face masks, hand sanitizing, social distancing and cleaning protocols.

We are excited to announce that SESSION 2 classes online in the “ZOOM” format for Preschool, Kindy, Beginning Child’s Dance, Intermediate Child’s Dance and Advanced Child Dance and Apprentice Level (Hampden only) levels starting Monday, May 25th, for four weeks. These classes will include ballet, tap, tiny jazz, hip hop and lyrical. There will be a meet-and-greet at the beginning of each class between the teacher and the students. You are welcome to attend any of the Zoom classes offered pertaining to your level, no matter the teacher. Example: If you are in Preschool, you can come to any of the Preschool class times offered throughout the week. Also included in Session 2, along with the zoom classes, most classes will be getting the recital dance break down videos. At this time we couldn’t get the 5-9 yr olds, Fresh Prince Hip Hop one done because there are too many dancers with too many different parts.

Miller’s Dance Studio is excited to present the Sleeping Beauty Ballet! Auditions will be held Saturday, September 15 at the Hampden Studio for all dancers Apprentice Level through Elite. This performance opportunity is open to all dancers who attended ballet classes and camps throughout the summer.

Dancers Kindy level through ACD are welcome to sign up to participate in the ballet - no audition or summer dance requirements for this age range.
