Final Nutcracker Rehearsal Times

Last rehearsal run through for The Nutcracker is MANDATORY. December 10th, at the Hampden & Chambers location.

Act 1 - including party scene, fight scene, snow scene, mice, soldiers, babydolls 9-11 am.

Act 2 - including land of sweets, little gingerbread, little sugarplums faries 11am-1 pm.

Dress rehearsal - Show 1, Friday, Dec. 16th. Call time for Act 1 - 4:30, Act 2 - 5:30

Dress rehearsal - Show 2, Saturday, Dec. 17th Call time for Act 1 - 8:30am, Act 2 - 9:30 am

Warm up for older dancers - Show 1 - 5-6 pm , Show 2 - 1-2 pm.

Picture Information

Pictures Leads only will come Sat. Dec 10 at 8:00 am (Claira, Prince, Drosselmeyer, Snow Queen, and All Land of the Sweets except little Chinese). All other dancers will be taken at dress rehearsal as the children are getting ready. Please do not leave until your child’s picture has been taken. These will be able to be viewed and purchased before, during intermission and after the performance.

Costume Information

All girls in the party scene (Clara, Clara’s Friends, Party Children, Babydoll Girls) will need their hair half up, half down with curls. We have the bows/ribbons for them, so please just put the top part in a rubber band. The boys should have black ballet slippers, their own pants and a white, collared button down shirt.

Clara’s Friends need seamed, pink tights and a black, spaghetti or tank strap leotard to wear under their dress.

Party Children need pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and a black, spaghetti or tank strap leotard to wear under their costume.

Babydoll Girls need pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and we will provide the rest of the costume.

Mice need pink tights, pink ballet slippers and a black leotard to wear under their costume. Their hair should be in a low (at the neck) ponytail in order for their hood to fit right.

Soldiers need pink tights, pink ballet slippers and we will provide the rest of the costume. Their hair should be a super- high bun in order to fit correctly under the hat.

Little Sugar Plum Fairies need white tights and pink ballet slippers. Their hair should be in a bun.

Gingerbread Children need pink tights and pink ballet slippers. The girls’ hair should be parted down the middle and braided to loop under. 1 braid on each side. The boys should wear a white, collared button down shirt and black ballet slippers. The rest will be provided for them.

Waltz of the Flowers need pink tights, pink ballet slippers and hair in a bun.

Land of the Sweets Characters and Snow need pink, seamed tights, the appropriate shoes and hair in a bun. (Except Russian)

***At Dress Rehearsal, we will set bows first so please do not be late. This also means that the younger dancers will be able to leave after their dance is finished.

Please do not take any rental items home. We use them for both shows.

T-shirts/Sweatshirts will be passed out at dress rehearsals if you purchased one.

Videotaping and Photos is only allowed at dress rehearsal. We have a company videotaping the performance. They are available for purchase at the show.
