Parents and Dancers,

I’m excited to give you a heads up on an upcoming class with Tyne! It will be held on Sunday, April 19th (sorry it had to be Sunday) at the Hampden Studio from 2:30-4:00. This class is a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The cost is $25.00 and it is tax deductible. It is completely nonprofit and all money goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society toward research. Tyne is donating her time and Miller’s is hosting this event for no charge.

Here’s some background info on why this is happening:

My former dance teacher, Sue Ellen Goss, has been fundraising and donating her time for many years to this organization and as a result has been nominated for Woman of the Year for the LLS. She has around 30 events scheduled to raise money this year! This class is only one of them. What a great way to donate and get a master class for your dancer in return!

In addition, we are trying to hold a small silent auction during the class. At this time, we have a great item donated by the Colorado Ballet for two tickets to opening night of their upcoming season! What a wonderful mother/daughter night that would be! We are also working on getting tickets to a show at the Buell as well as some smaller auction items.

Last, there is one more class being offered for any of you moms/former dancers out there that would like to join us. Many of Sue’s former students including me, still live in the Denver metro area. So Tyne is teaching a very “special” class for those of us that were Sue’s students and any other adults that would like to take. It’s from 1:00-2:00 on the same day as the student class. It will be a non threatening fun jazz class that even Miss Sue is taking! Now the recommended donation for this class is $100 because of course it really is all about the donation. But any amount will be accepted. Sue’s campaign motto is: “There’s Hope in the Numbers.”

Please print and turn in your registration form to Judy at the desk who will then give it to me.

As co-chair of this event, I am really hopeful that we can have a great turn out! Please help us support this amazing organization! And feel free to email me with any questions.

Thank you!

Andra
